Sewing Lessons:

Have you always wanted to learn to sew, but didn't know how or where to begin? This is the opportunity you have been waiting for! Alterations by Christy is now offering private sewing lessons for beginners and even for those with some sewing skill that just want to take their sewing knowledge to the next level.
Each lesson is designed to teach a least one new skill per class and in most cases, three of four. We move quickly through each technique so you get the most out of each class. However, you set the pace.
My goal is to have you sewing projects independently with all the skills you have learned in class by the end of the first four sessions.

Beginners will learn:
To operate the sewing machine, read a pattern, cut out a pattern, sew in a zipper, make button holes, sew french seam, insert piping and other trim, and basic pattern construction.

If you have more advanced skills you will learn:
How to alter a pattern, to make your own pattern, to add lining to any pattern, and so much more.

Almost everything you will need to take the class will be provided for you.  The only thing you need to bring to class the first lesson is a three-ring binder and sheet protectors. Each technique is done on sample fabric and kept in this book for you to take home to study and use as a visual guide as you learn to sew.

So don't wait! Enroll today and discover just how fun and easy sewing can be!
